ABOUT US Our Story

Hilda’s is a family brand produced by Chanwell Ltd., incorporated November 2017. We make gourmet jelly — Hilda’s Merlot Jelly and Hilda’s Merlot Hot Pepper Jam — For consumers who crave high-quality ingredients, exceptional flavour, and an unparalleled food experience.

We named the brand after our grandma, Hilda, who always expected nothing less than perfection. So, we pay painstaking attention to all the details, from ingredients and production to labels and packaging, because we know Hilda would never want her name on an inferior product. She’d be proud that we were nominated for the 2019 Best New Product by the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards Committee.

Hilda’s Wine Jelly and Jam has already been so successful, that we were able to form The Chanwell Foundation in September of 2018. The Foundation works to bring underprivileged Jamaican children and youth out of poverty. A portion of all Hilda’s Wine Jelly sales goes toward funding the Foundation. Currently, we provide food care packages and school supplies to those in need. We hope to expand our efforts as we grow the Hilda’s brand and enter more markets.
